Plugins for Chrome
The first extension on the list, WPSNIFFER, can tell you which WordPress theme a site is using. This is useful if you’ve ever stumbled upon a WordPress website with a top-notch design and wanted to know which theme was that. The extension will detect the theme and return the link to the theme’s homepage. In the event that it cannot find the link, it will return the search result for “{theme's name} wordpress theme”.
The official plugin repository is a real treasure trove of WordPress plugins but the search functionality leaves a lot to be desired. This little extension improves the plugin search on WordPress.org by showing you more details about each plugin, related plugins, and the ability to try a plugin on a free sandbox site. You’ll also be able to see if a plugin is truly free or free with a paid version.
Learning shortcuts to any tool can make you more productive and save you time. WordPress is no different. If you haven’t mastered WordPress shortcuts such as Visual editor shortcuts, dashboard shortcuts, and more, the WordPress Keyboard Shortcuts extension is for you. With it, you’ll be able to access the complete list of WordPress shortcuts so you can start using them to navigate your way around your site, publish new posts, and do other tasks faster.
Use the WordPress Site Manager extension to quickly switch between all the different WordPress sites you manage. This extension is a great choice for website owners who have multiple WordPress websites as well as designers and developers managing their client sites. The extension will store a list of your WordPress sites and allow quick and easy access to your sites main pages. As a developer, you’ll also benefit from the added functionality to the WordPress theme editor as the WordPress Site manager turns the default theme editor into a CodeMirror editor.
WordPress admin bar is useful when you’re switching between your site’s front-end and back-end, especially when you’re writing posts and want to preview how the post will look. But, if you’re working on your site’s design or using a plugin such as Elementor or Divi theme, the admin bar can get in the way. This extension allows you to enable and disable the admin bar with a single click. The admin bar stays disabled until you click the extension again.
If you like to make changes to your WordPress site and tweak the CSS files, then you’ll love this extension. WordPress Style Editor lets you edit the stylesheet while you’re inspecting your site’s code using the Chrome’s developer tools. What’s more, this extension will allow you to save those changes which means you don’t have to go back and forth trying to remember which changes you made and which line of code you need to change in your CSS file.
While Keywords Everywhere is not directly WordPress related, it’s a useful extension for any WordPress blogger. If you’re trying to up your SEO game, this extension allows you to perform a free SEO keyword research tool from any website and shows you useful keyword search volume and cost per click data on multiple websites.
Adding extra functionality to WordPress or modifying a theme file to change the way it works is not hard, when you consider there are tons of WordPress blogs out there sharing helpful code snippets. With this extension, you can save yourself hours or searching the Internet and access the most commonly used WordPress functions with a single click. You can then simply copy the code straight from the Cheatsheet and into your theme file.
While the writing rules are not so strict when it comes to writing for the web, you still need to make sure your posts and pages don’t have weird typos or grammar errors. Luckily, you can avoid embarrassing mistakes by using Grammarly for Chrome. This extension offers a lot of functionality for free. It can detect correctly spelled words used in the wrong context, misused words like there/their/they’re, check for complex grammar and style errors, and more. It works in your WordPress editor as well as on social media sites like Facebook, and in Google Docs.
Plugins make WordPress even better but if you’re not careful, they can also be a source of vulnerability and cause your site to be hacked. You can use the WordPress Plugin Security Checker to see if the plugin you’re about to install is safe or if it has any security risks associated with it.
The Evernote Web Clipper is a versatile extension that allows you save various articles from the web as you’re researching your next post. You can save articles as simplified versions so that only text and links remain or you can choose to clip the full page, a selection on a page or to grab a screenshot of the page itself. Since the clips are stored with a link back to the page, you can easily reference them in your article or go back to the page later on.
Knowing your WordPress website stats is useful but you probably don’t have the time to log into your website or Google Analytics every day. This is where the WordPress Stats extension comes in handy. Once installed, it will tell you how many visitors your site is getting, which of your posts are the most visited, what visitors are searching for on your website, and where they are coming from.
If you’re stuck for ideas when it comes to your content, try the Express Curate extension. Simply enter your keywords or topics you normally write about into the extension and it will generate a list of articles that you can curate. You can then save those ideas in your WordPress dashboard as a draft or continue generating more ideas.
The Related Content By Zemanta extension will help you build authority in your niche quickly. It discovers articles and topics that are similar to your blog posts and you can then link to those articles and blog posts. This drives the engagement on your blog, helps you with SEO, and establishes you as the authority.

Just go to the customizer (Divi > Theme Customizer), click “Footer” and there you have some options. You can choose the colors for texts, for the background, etc. For example if you want to make the footer text smaller, go to “Bottom Bar” and you can adjust the Font Size there, as well as the social icons size. Or you can also completely remove them. To remove the social icons from the footer just go to “Footer Elements” and uncheck the “Show Social Icons” checkbox. To remove the text on the bottom go to "bottom footer" tab in the same location and click on disable footer credits.
Duplicating a page
Once you have completed your home page you may want to use 80% of the layout on all the other pages and just change the top image and text for the new pages. This will keep your website looking consistent and save you a lot of time. All you need to do is go to plugins, add new plugin, and search for "Duplicate Post". This plugin works on pages and posts. Simply install it and then activate it. From there go to the page you want to duplicate and click the edit button. In the edit location you will have the option to click "clone". It will make a copy of itself in the pages and the name will be the original page name including the word draft.
